Can't Get up in the Morning

Who ever said that Mormons don't get hung over has never seen a family coming down off two weeks of sugar-filled, sleep-deprived, non-stop Christmas vacation fun. This morning our new church meeting time switched from 1:00 pm church to 9:00 am church forcing us to arise at 7:00 am for the first time in weeks. The kids seemed to handle the pre-dawn wake-up call pretty well, but mom and dad really struggled with leaving their warm bed for the chilly morning air. I will tell you that when the alarm goes off at 5:45 am tomorrow morning it will take every ounce of courage within me to face the day with a cheerful and energetic smile. Now, writing this, I am aware that mothers with small infants who are reading this blog will scoff at my whininess and with derision think to themselves, "Wimp. Stop complaining. You know nothing of sleep-deprivation." But, I've done my time and just when I thought I could get a full 7 1/2 hours of sleep in on a regular basis then early morning seminary comes along. If I was only willing to go to bed at a reasonable hour none of this would really be an issue. So I guess it comes around full circle that it's really my fault if I don't get enough sleep, seminary is totally worth getting up for in the morning, and stop complaining, but do I really have to get up?

Jen love your blog, I am so glad you included on you Christmas card. I do have admit I wondered if something was wrong because you didn't send this super creative christmas card that I look forward to getting each year. But secretivly I thought "well now, she is like the rest of us normal folks" at least for lst year. Great to see how your family is doing, you all look great!
